SALEM AREA WOMEN’S CLUB-GFWC-NH CREATIVE WRITING CONTEST

This year our club is sponsoring a Literary Contest that is open to all members.

Subjects:

• Family Heritage.

• The person or persons whom you consider a hero in your life.

• Short story of your choice

 

Submissions:

• Your essay should be between 500 to 2000 words, typed double-spaced on one side 8.5 x 11 paper.

• One entry per category.

• Include your name, address, e-mail, and phone number in the right-hand corner. The title should be in the center

 

Deadline: All entries should be submitted by February 15, 2023.

 

Prizes:

• First: $150

• Second: $100

• Third: $75

• Prizes will be in the form of gift certificates to local, women-owned businesses and will be awarded at the March 7, 2023 meeting.

 

Winners of the contest will go on to the State competition level and could end up in the National Level.

 

An impartial panel will judge submissions. One entry per member per category.
