Poll Worker Appreciation Baskets Designed and delivered thank-you baskets for poll workers on election days. Family Promi se (Nashua) Purchased, prepared, and cooked a meal once a month for Family Promise, Nashua. Completed the "family room" project at Family Promise.

    Meeting Location Derry-Salem Elks Lodge #2226 39 Shadow Lake Rd, Salem, NH 03079 (603) 898-7941 The General Membership Meetings are held at the Derry-Salem Elks Lodge monthly. Committee meetings and Board of Director Meetings may be held in different locations. Please check with the committee chairwomen to confirm locations. Directions to the Elks Use this map to get directions from anywhere to the Elks. Click on "Directions" and put in your starting address. Parking @ the Elks Parking @ Elks Regular Parking Front Entrance Parking Lot SAWC members are encouraged to park in the Elks main or lower parking lot. The front door is accessible by going up the outside stairs to the front door. Handicapped parking here. Handicapped Parking If you need to park closer, there are limited handicapped spaces at the top of the hill. You can enter through the back door and straight into the meeting room. When parking in this area, please be mindful of members who use wheelchairs or walkers or have a difficult time getting around. Back door

    Community Service Programs What We Do GFWC has five Community Service Programs to build upon the Federation's collective impact. Each committee chair coordinates with organizations and agencies in the community, channels volunteer needs to club members, and networks with each other to build friendships. SAWC has added three categories: Social and Standing Committees. Arts & Culture Civic Engagement & Outreach Environment Heath & Wellness Standing Committees Social Groups Education & Libraries Be a Power for Good SAWC members have volunteered more than 40,000 hours collectively, and given over $35,000 of in-kind resources to assist and support the efforts of a wide variety of programs such as*: Apartment furnishings for a Salem resident Author Events Caregivers Program Children’s books for the Salem caregiver recognition Cookie Hugs for Caregivers during the Holidays Flower Hugs Program Greater Salem Chamber’s Wreath Stroll Monthly meal for Family Promise in Nashua Outfit bathrooms for Brigid’s House of Hope Pinwheel Gardens for Child Abuse Awareness Planting a garden along the Salem Pedi-Bike Corridor Puzzles for Senior Centers Sexual Assault Comfort Bags for local hospitals SAWC is Busy Over the past few years, the Salem Area Woman's Club GFWC-NH has made donations to various organizations and causes at the local, state, and national levels. We make an effort to donate to organizations within our service area, which includes Salem, Pelham, Windham, Atkinson, Hampstead, and recently, Derry.
